Post #105: tent city, dumbbells and work plans

Today I bought dumbbells I wanted so much. And 2 days ago was Halloween, but we spent it at home.

Сегодня я купила себе гантельки, на которые уже давно заглядывалась. А позавчера незаметно прошел Хэллоуин.

Although we have a gym in our building, it is good to have this kind of stuff at home. On the way to the store I walked through the tent city, which is built on the square in city center by students of Art Academy. Authorities have established portable bio-toilets to maintain place clean, and some cafes set vans with hot food and snacks. Inside the tent city they have 2 or 3 tables where students and others living in tents can have a meal. Protesters oppose to increasing the influence of large corporations on political life. By buying unnecessary things people pay money for the companies, thus become sponsors of these organizations, that promote their politicians. The tents are filled with slogans like "Do you really need new iPhone?" This week we are launching another project. The future plans of my department - develop a mobile version of website, transfer website to HTML5, make SEO-optimization, change hosting provider and set up application for task tracking. I can not believe that all this is initiated by me:)

Хотя в нашем здании есть тренажерный зал, классно иметь дома такие вещи. По дороге в магазин проходила мимо палаточного городка, который разбили студенты Академии Искусств на площади в самом центре города. Чтобы обеспечить чистоту и порядок, власти установили переносные био-туалеты, а некоторые закусочные поставили фургоны с горячей едой. Внутри городка установлено 2 или 3 стола со стульями, где студенты и другие живущие в палатках могут перекусить. Митингующие выступают против увеличения влияния крупных корпораций на политическую жизнь. Делая ненужные покупки, поддавшись рекламе, общество тем самым спонсирует эти организации, которые продвигают своих политиков. Поэтому палатки пестрят лозунгами типа "Тебе точно нужен iPhone?" На этой неделе мы запускаем еще один проект на работе. В дальнейших планах моего отдела - разработка мобильной версии сайта, перевод сайта на HTML5, SEO-оптимизация, смена хостинга и установка приложений для трекинга работы организации. Даже не верится, что все это инициирую я :)
